BADAGRY LOCAL GOVERNMENT HOLDS BUDGET RETREAT FOR THE 2023 FISCAL YEAR

 The Executive Council of Badagry Local Government held a Two-day Budget Retreat on its 2023 budget estimates, fiscal plans and policies. 


The Budget was tagged 'Budget Of Hope 2023' had participants led by the Council Chairman, the supervisor's / special Adviser, Management Staff, Heads Of Departments/Units.



 They all deliberated on the council's fiscal plans and policies for year 2023.


The HOD Budget Mr. David Ominu during his speech, said the plan is to conscientiously prune our resources and we all listened to the Chairman's reiteration  that this time, we must all  do everything to implement all the planned projects and programmes captured in the 2023 budget. At the end of this, we brainstormed, proffered solutions and make informed suggestions and contributions on how to move the council and Badagry Local Government forward.


During the presentation of the Executive Chairman of Badagry LGA  Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran, he  expressly stated that he is poised to use his tenure as the chairman to make ineffaceable mark via legacy projects spread across all wards of the local government. 




"As a local government, we have resolved to judiciously expend resources where our mouth is, we have meticulously deliberated on how to move our council and our local government forward. The   responsibility is on us not to allow our sacrifice to be in vain by not walking our talk as soon as our proposal is passed into law. This administration is focused on Infrastructural development, Education, social interventions, welfare and empowerment of women and aged, Health, Youth and Capacity Development and we will not deviate from these.“


The Executive Chairman reiterated that his administration will leave no stone unturned in providing quality and beneficial projects and policies to the people of badagry. He also stated that his administration will be prudent with the resources at their disposal and as a principal he will not bequeath any debt to successive administration regardless of the projects he embarked on. 


The Council Manager, Mr. Philip Sejuro Asokere in his remarks charged all participants to work towards achieving the goals, plans and proposals in the budget. He said it is important that the council meets its revenue expectations as well as other fiscal plans for the year. 



At the retreat was also Mr Adeniyi Adeleke,

Director of Budget, Ifelodun LCDA, Lagos, who enlightened participants at the retreat on the 'Import Of The New Budget Template.
