BADAGRY LOCAL GOVERNMENT COLLABORATED WITH EKO INTERNATIONAL CLUB ON FREE MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM

 During the early hours of today, hundreds of Badagrians and it's residents benefitted from the Medical outreach program situated at the Ajara Flagship Primary Health Centre, Iluda brought together  by Badagry Local Government in collaboration with Eko International Club. 






The medical intervention provided screening and treatment for malaria, typhoid, peptic ulcer, urinary tract infections, hypertension, health education, vision screening with free frames, free medication, dental checks as well as a general health check. 




The Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Hon. Onilude Olusegun Adeniran teliat who was ably represented at the program by his Vice-Chairman Hon. Elizabeth Pedetin Kappo commended his principal Hon. Onilude olusegun adeniran for his altruistic personality and ardent inclination towards impacting lives and promoting the well-being of his people through people-oriented programmes and she also denoted that health is wealth as well as a basis for economic growth and development of any society. The Vice-Chairman said "our people should be more health conscious. Health is wealth. The Onilude-led administration will continue to collaborate with relevant government agencies, good-hearted  individuals and organisations to bring the dividend of good governance nearer to the people."





The President of Eko International Club, Hon. Saheed Olusi said the outreach had begun in 2007, and Badagry was previously reached in 2018. According to Hon. Olusi, the mission is for Lagosians who are medical practitioners in the diaspora to give back to the society, Lagos in particular. He highlighted  that the mission of the club has always been fully funded by the members of the Club since inception.
